Polish crane rental merger

Two Polish crane companies - EFH Zurawie Wiezowe SA and Gastel SA have announced that they will merge.

EFH distributes Terex Comedil tower cranes in Poland as well as renting a variety of brands within its 152 unit tower crane fleet. Gastel has a fleet of All Terrain, crawler and Jaso tower cranes and specialises in servicing the telecommunications facilities construction and wind turbine erection. It also manufactures pre-stressed concrete utility poles.

The new company will be called Gastel Żurawie SA and will operate a fleet of 195 tower cranes, 34 All Terrain and three crawler cranes.The company will have around 240 employees working from seven locations.

The deal was announced at the Warsaw Stock Exchange – Gastel is publicly quoted, while RFH is private.

The announcement was made by Tomasz Kwieciński, president of the management board of Gastel, and Grzegorz Żólcik president of the management board of EFH

The new business will have assets of over $100 million and revenues iin the region of 35 million.
