The order for more than 70 units will take Horizons fleet close to 230 machines, all of which have been added since the company’s formation in January 2008.

Rory Duggan joint managing director of Horizon said, “Although 2010 is going to be a challenging year, we are still experiencing strong growth from both new and existing customers. Horizon has always strived for excellence in customer service and although we may not be the ‘cheapest’ rental company, our customers value our support and the standard of equipment that we supply.”

“By selecting JLG equipment, particularly the ES battery Scissor lift range, we are able to further strengthen the support offered to our customers by providing them with additional value whilst they are working at height.”

“Our decision to invest further in the ES models was a direct result of customer demand. Many of our clients ask for ES scissors by name especially if they are on a large fit-out job where added run times between charges are a massive benefit”.

As part of its 2010 fleet expansion Horizon has also taken delivery of a number of Skyjack diesel powered scissors and Niftylift HR15 and HR17 booms.
