Tree trimmer shocked
A man was badly burnt after contacting overhead power lines while trimming trees from a trailer lift in Jacksonville, Florida on Tuesday.
The man was working from a 12 metre Genie TZ34/20 trailer lift and using a pole type saw with which he touched the power lines. He received an electric shock and burns to his back.
The local fire department was able to bring him down using the machine’s lower controls. He remained conscious throughout the relatively slow descent process. He was reported to be in critical condition at the hospital.

The scene shortly after the emergency services arrived
I'd love to see his risk assessment for setting up a non-insulated lift between 2 groups of power cables and have it give a rating of acceptable.
Hope he recovers from his injuries to be able to work again !
