New technical director for APS

UK based access specialist Access Platform Sales (APS) has appointed Chris Banks as technical director.

Banks has 20 years experience in the access market, having worked for nine years with a rental company before joining APS in 1999, as a service engineer for the eastern region of England.

From there he moved up to take over the day to day management of the company’s workshop, first as foreman and then as manager before moving to the post of technical engineering manager, responsible for after sales support and refurbishments.

In his new post he will be responsible for the APS product support effort, including service, parts and training, as well as transport. He will also be working closely with Youngman, with which the company has an alliance, on all aspects of development and technical support.
