Restaurant Death Wish

A reader spotted three men working on the first floor of a restaurant somewhere in northern England. It looks as though they are caulking around the window frames, they have used a ladder and a small alloy tower to gain access.

Two men are standing on the small piece of inclined tiled roofing, with the third who looks as though he is giving directions or advice is stood on the edge of the tower
which has no guardrail, no toe boards and is perhaps too low for the job.0

In their defence the three has strategically parked their van to prevent the ladder and the tower from slipping or falling over backwards. Also if our man slips from the tower he is likely to land on the roof of the van. Mind you if he does the roof rack could easily cause him some serious damage.

The of course there is the point that they are blocking off the pavement forcing pedestrians out into the roadway. Not the worst Death Wish we have seen for sure but still one that with a little bad luck could easily end in serious injury or a fatality.
