Roger Thorington joins Lifterz

Access industry veteran, Roger Thorington has been tempted out of retirement to take up a consultancy role with UK based rental company Lifterz.

Thorington’s last role before taking retirement was technical director of AFI-Uplift, prior to which he held a senior technical and service role for Grove Manlift.

He described his role at Lifterz as, "doing exactly what I am used to and that is directing the service and engineering personnel to attain high standards of safety and work and with good customer response times.”
“When Lifterz acquired the business, of C & G Platforms it took on nearly 200 service agreements which need good systems to control. Essentially Lifterz is a fast turnaround sales led organisation and the directors felt it needed some operational help. They have a good highly skilled team of engineers which makes my job so much easier. It was Malcolm Bowers, during his time with AFI, who brought me on board so it’s good to be working with him again"
