Bridon Services appoints new manager

Wire rope manufacturer Bridon International has appointed new services division manager, Gordon Kells.

Kells has over 30 years of industry experience, most recently as the specialist services manager for Balfour Beatty. He will be based at Bridon’s Doncaster Services division and will primarily be responsible for overseeing a team of engineers and technicians carrying out rope repair, inspection and maintenance work.

John Churchfield, Bridon’s European region managing director, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Gordon to the Services division as he takes up this pivotal role within the company. We look forward to incorporating his experience of service management as we drive this part of the business forward.”
Kells added: “We are looking to significantly expand the Services division product range with the introduction of life cycle management of ropes and cables thus ensuring Bridon clients achieve maximum return on what can often be significant capital investments.
