Aichi launches new Euro distribution

A new joint venture company, Aichi Platform Services Europe, has been launched by Aichi and an undisclosed second party. APSE takes over the role of MPS Mobile Platform Services in Germany and PSE in The Netherlands. APSE is based in Dordrecht and is responsible for sales in all areas not covered by Aichi's strategic alliance with Manitou - the agreement currently covers France, the UK and Scandinavia.

Kenuiro Nezuka, Aichi's international sales, told vertikal.net that APSE is using staff seconded to it from Aichi. It has also employed Carsten Bielefeld to launch an office in Germany. Paul Lawrence will be managing the new European office.

Aichi's new range of truck mounted platforms, which have a 1 tonne capacity, will now be sold by a new company, Willenbrock Concept. This has been created by Reinhard Willenbrock who has closed MPS, the former German Aichi dealer.

The TC12a is expected to receive CE certification in the next couple of weeks and will be supplied on an Isuzu carrier unless there is very strong demand for an alternative. Willenbrock expects to create a network of sub-dealers throughout Europe.

Aichi has launched four new wheel-mounted booms at bauma, two of which are fitted with jibs - the SP18AJ and SP21AJ.
