RK buy into Poland

Rakentajain Konevuokraamo Oyj Group, the publicly quoted Finnish rental company better known as RK has announced that it has purchased all of the shares in Polish company SÄVE Sp.zo.o, an access rental company based in Krakow Poland.

SÄVE has revenues in the region of a million euros and a fleet of around 150 aerial lifts.

SÄVE will operate in the RK group as an independent subsidiary, Bogdan Lenda one of previous owners will stay on as managing director.

No sales price was disclosed.

RK says that it plans to use SAVE as an entry in to the Polish market and that it intends to invest in building the product range and geographic coverage.

RK are following a trail blazed by Rami rent, the largest Finnish rental company, which bought into the Polish market several years ago and now leads the market.

RK are a general rental company, with large modular building, scaffold and powered access activities.

SÄVE wasoriginally associated with SAVE of Sweden which closed down after financial difficulties.

The closing is intended to take place on March 3 2005 at the latest.
