HSS buy Hire Plus

HSS the UK’s leading tool hire company has purchased Hire Plus a two outlet business in Surrey. At the same time it has announced a formal agreement to open HSS order point outlets at up to150 ICI Dulux Decorator centres throughout the UK.

The partnership with ICI Dulux Decorator Centres was announced following a successful six-month trial in 14 stores across the UK. The stores aim to provide a one-stop shop service for both trade professionals and members of the public and will house an HSS point of sale display and ordering desk offering equipment delivery options to meet customer needs.

“We are delighted to be able to announce these two initiatives – and have several others in the pipeline,” said Paul Nolan, Chief Executive of HSS Hire Service Group. “We have been working with Hire Plus as part of an agency agreement for just over a year and the decision to acquire was a logical one given the level of liaison and dialogue between the two companies since that time.
