Further views and news from Conexpo

Day two of Conexpo was even better than day one, with most exhibitors very happy indeed with the visitor traffic. The main news of the day was that in spite of yesterdays denials from Kobelco Cranes, Manitowoc announced that it had indeed signed an OEM supply agreement with Kobelco for the European market, for cranes of up to 110 tonnes lift capacity.

Moving around the stands one of the few truly new aerial products, not previously launched at the ARA or elsewhere, is the Snorkel MHP 12/34 trailer lift with 12.7 metre working height, two fixed element articulating boom plus jib. With an overall length of 6.1 metres, a width of 1.56metres and height of 1.96 metres it offers a compact package while the GVW of 1,180 kgs make it an easy unit to tow behind most cars.
