UpRight Booms or not?

UpRight has undergone many changes in the past year or so, the company has issued a brief update to its activities, which include the shipment of the first Mexican built 80ft straight boom.

The New UpRight plant in Mexicali, Mexico is now getting into full swing with 70 local staff employed and large booms and scissors beginning to come of the production lines.

UpRight Mexico now builds 100 units a month


All Electric scissors are now in full production along with the Ground Leveller (Speed Level) and big dual deck scissor lifts. With an average of 100 units a month coming off line according to the company.

The first 80ft straight boom (SB80) shipped this week, yet availability of booms is seriously extended, with quotes for delivery in 2006 being given. Large Booms were originally planned for the stand at Conexpo but long delivery times prompted a decision not to show them.

UpRight Mexico Ground Leveller line


UpRight say that it plans to build up its sales and service organisation, in the USA Rob Hime, Senior VP for North America, said “Recruitment is set to continue in the sales, service, and safety. We are putting an emphasis on parts and service right now”

“Jeff Balanchuk (an ex UpRight Inc employee) has been appointed as Field Service Manager based out of Cincinnati while other recent appointments include Karla Olguin, Marketing Promotions Manager based in Mexico while Doug King, has been appointed Vice President for Customer Services based at the Fresno UI support centre”.

Arne Dirckinck Holmfeld is also due to take up the position of Vice President of European Sales & Business Development next week. (See Vertikal.Net March 8th)click here It is understood that Noel Corcoran will manage the business on an interim basis.
