Effer sell 50 units in France

Frans Bonhomme, the largest distributor of plastic pipes and fittings for the civil works and construction industry in France, has purchased 50 Iveco Eurocargo ML 150 trucks each one fitted with an Effer 95/3S nine tonne/metre knuckle boom crane.

The crane has a fully hydraulic outreach of up to nine metres and a lift capacity of 900kgs at 8.8 metres. All the cranes ordered by Frans Bonhomme will be supplied with a self-compensated proportional control bank and radio controls.

The deal also includes a full seven year service & maintenance contract for the whole vehicle (truck and crane) and was developed jointly by CEVI, the Iveco dealer based in Tours and Gibouin SA the Effer distributor for France.

The first units started shipping in February 2005 and they are planned to last until May with an average delivery of 12 units a month.

Frans Bonhomme has a fleet of 200 delivery trucks, all of them equipped with an articulating cranes. The fleet has an average age of five years, with replacement purchases made on an annual basis.

Gibouin S.A. has been distributing Effer cranes throughout France for the past nine years. The Company, located in Nangis, southeast of Paris, has been involved in the sales of truck-mounted cranes for over 50 years and has a consolidated network of sub dealers covering the whole of France.
