Four of the Effer 440 4S cranes for Iraq

Having won a number of tenders, the units had to pass an inspection and approval process by engineers from the Iraqi ministry of transport, before they could ship.

The first inspection and hand-over took place recently at Effer’s plant in Minerbio and went without a hitch.

The 39.6 metre/tonne Effer 440 4S has a maximum capacity of 8.7 tonnes at 4.55 metres, an outreach of 12.3 metres at which it can handle almost three tonnes, and features bearing and planetary gear slewing.

The cranes were installed on three axle Iveco trucks and supplied through the Machine Technology Trading company (MTT) based in Baghdad. The company is one of the main suppliers of trucks, special vehicles and construction equipment.
