Teupen adds to direct sales team

German spider lift manufacturer Teupen has added three new members to its international direct sales team.

Lars Hesselgren has joined to company to manage direct sales in the Nordic region, while Marc Valtel has taken over the sales role in France and Szymon Weber in Poland.

Teupen chief executive Michael Wotschke said: “These are very important markets for us so we need an infrastructure that is close to our customers in addition to a quality product and service.”

Weber joined the company in January following many years of experience in the Polish construction equipment and rental sector, he will be responsible for direct sales, business development as well as distributor management. The same role applies to Valtel in France, where Teupen has operated a direct sales and support function for 12 years.

In northern Europe Teupen says it is also planning more direct sales activities, with Hesselgren on board.

“The Nordic markets are a perfect opportunity to prove that our direct sales concept will be successful in the long term. Tracked aerials may be known in the market but far from being accepted as a standard repertoire for a well-equipped rental fleet. With Lars Hesselgren we took a professional aboard that has years of experience in the Scandinavian sales environment,” added Wotschke.
