Free explosion proof seminar

If you sell or rent equipment for use in hazardous environments or are a user, then a seminar sponsored and organized by Pyroban, the producer of explosion proof modifications for mobile equipment working in hazardous environments, will be of interest.

The seminar, which will be held at the Tower Thistle hotel in London on July 5th, is organised for people making key decisions concerning health and safety in companies that have areas zoned in accordance with ATEX 1999/92/EC, and for distributors and dealers of equipment that is put into use in hazardous area and/or built to ATEX 94/9/EC.

Pyroban Group. Managing Director Ian Ratcliff said, ¡§We are of course in the business of eliminating risk in hazardous areas, but a major concern that we have is the lack of clarity when it comes to the overall question of risk and liability for companies when planning their own activities. We have a clear view at Pyroban that the essential approach is to develop an optimised approach to risk management¡Xwithout over-engineered solutions¡Xand that demands a full understanding of the key issues involved.¡¨

The programme has been developed to address the following issues:

„FWho is responsible for classifying the areas of premises where there could be a potentially explosive atmosphere?

„FWho is responsible for ensuring that equipment for use in explosive atmospheres is operated, maintained and inspected correctly?

„FHow do insurance companies view risk in terms of their assessment on premiums? How can companies ensure that they are minimising their risk cost effectively to ensure the most competitive insurance premium?

„FWhat can be insured and what cannot?

ƒnWhat is the legal position for employers whose companies fail to comply with safety regulations? How can employers check that they are compliant?

„FHow are risks and liabilities defined within a supply chain in your company? Are all parties clear on the obligations? How can you check?

„FWhat should you look for when consulting risk assessment experts to ensure the advice obtained is fair?
