Day three SED
Day three of SED started with Rain but turned into a surpisingly excellent day in terms of visitor numbers.
Many exhibitors claimed that Thursday, usually a poor day in terms of activity, was one of the best! This in spite of the early rain.
Thursdays Vertikal challenge was won by a new Gatiwck plant employee Stuart Rex, with a time of two minutes and 14 seconds.
Gatwick plant scooped most of the prizes last year, but refrained from monopolising the event this year. However the company's training efforts are clearly exceptional, when a new employee like Stuart performs with such skill.

Runner up on day three was Derek Schwartau, who was also the runner up yesterday. He returned in order to try and beat his two minutes and 18 second result in a run at the first prize that so narrowly eluded him yeserday. Sadly he was once again pipped at the post.
