Bill Parkinson established LGH in 1970, as one of the first dedicated lifting equipment rental businesses in the UK and has since grown into an international business operating from over 50 locations in the UK, US, Holland and Germany
‘As the world's leading specialist lifting equipment providers, we take our responsibilities very seriously and I will ensure that we continue to provide a business that ensures our customers minimise the cost of equipment ownership and work efficiently, cost effectively and, most importantly, safely,’ said Ian Parkinson..
‘In spite of recent developments in the lifting industry, with many competitors trying to "wear our clothes", we are now the only independent specialist lifting engineers devoted to the hire, sales and service of lifting equipment with true nationwide branch coverage.’
‘I intend to exploit the numerous opportunities to build our market leading position even further by developing our core businesses in both the UK and overseas by a combination of organic and acquisitive growth,’ Parkinson concluded.
LGH Group comprises of the following businesses: Lifting Gear Hire, LGH Winches, LGH Training, LGH Megalift, LGH OnSite, LGH Rigging Services, LGH Corporation (US), LGH Hijsmaterieel (NL) and LGH GmbH (De).
