Yet another telehandler?
Lionlift srl, showed a very competent looking seven metre telescopic handler at last weeks SED. Alessandro Zagatti of Lionlift told Vertikal that this was one of a new range produced by Lionlift. We have now discovered that this is in fact part of a wider venture.

The new Lion lift product, is part of a new partnership that includes, Rigo cranes and Metalgalante, the innovative concrete mixer manufacturer.
A new design/production company Alta, which includes nine ex employees of Faresin/Haulotte is understood to be behind the models.
We have confirmed that there is a range of up to four models of telescopic handler and that so far they are being marketed as the Galaxylift by Lion lift and the Alta brand name through Rigo.

The first products that we have seen, the Galaxylift 40-70, Alta C740 (one and the same) and the Alta C535, bear a strong resemblance in some areas to the Faresin Haulotte models. Possibly due to a common designer and possibly some shared suppliers.
Members of the Partnership that we contacted informed us that at this stage the ongoing strategy has not been decided, those involved intend to move ahead in this market but at this stage are principally looking for market feedback in order to better shape a long term strategy.
We will post more information when we have it.
