LGH buy Burgess Lifting

Lifting Gear Hire, has purchased the Lifting and Testing division of Burgess Engineering Limited, part of the Burgess Group.

This acquisition forms part of a strategy to expand Lifting Gear Hire’s business as specialist lifting engineers, dedicated to the hire, sales and service of lifting equipment with national coverage.

Burgess’ Lifting Division is based at its own location in Sandwich, Kent and will become part of Lifting Gear Hire’s UK network of 34 Branches. Its engineers have been fully trained by the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) and the Division’s core business has focussed primarily on providing a full inspection, maintenance, repair and equipment certification service, plus sales and hire of lifting equipment.
