Hiab Buys Finnish dealer

Hiab, the lorry loader and tail lift producer has acquired its Finnish crane distributor, Transmachine Oy.
In order to strengthen its operations in Finland the agreement signed on June 16th, takes effect today July first 2005.

Transmachine Oy's business operations include the sales and installation of superstructures for trucks and the related sales of spare parts and accessories, as well as repair and servicing operations. Additionally, the company manufactures aluminium and special platforms for trucks.

Transmachine Oy is a long-time partner of Hiab and represents Hiab's loader cranes, Multilift demountables, and Focolift tail lifts. Hiab says that the acquisition will have no affect on the status of the personnel or customer relations. Operations will continue under the name Hiab Oy, Finland Sales. Other contact information will remain unchanged. Transmachine has locations in Helsinki and Turku.
Hiab already has an operation in Finland, Hiab Oy, Finland Sales, located in Raisio.
