New safety VP for Safway

US based scaffold group Safway has appointed Paul Amedee as vice president of safety.

In his new role he will lead the improvement of Safway’s safety systems and reporting tools and coordinate all safety-related administrative procedures.
He will also be indirectly responsible for overseeing regional and branch safety personnel, as well as employee and customer safety-related training.

Paul Amedee

Amedee joins the company from Champion Technologies, the specialty chemical company, where was quality health safety security environmental leader. Prior to that he spent five years with the Shaw group as corporate environmental health and safety compliance manager. In total he has spent over 20 years in the safety field.

Paul will work closely with our leadership team and employees throughout the Safway group to determine the best approach to behavioural-based, metric-driven and sustained safety improvement.”
