Ahern’s Chapter 11 plan approved

Ahern Rentals won formal approval yesterday for its Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganisation at a court hearing in Reno, Nevada.

The decision was as expected following an agreement reached last week with its bond/note holders after it added substantially to the pay back they will receive. There are still a number of formalities to be sorted out but it is likely that the business will emerge this summer with Don Ahern and his brother retaining their full ownership of the business.
