SMIE purchases Cranesafe

French company SMIE has purchased the total shareholding in Cranesafe, the UK and Ireland agent for its tower crane anti-collision and zoning systems.

“We have been developing the SMIE range for the past 12 years”, explained Cranesafe’s managing director Tim Rowley “Becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of SMIE allows us to invest in training and other facilities to accommodate the growing demand for both installations and customer service back up.”
