Oz mental health initiative

Australia's AusDirect Hire has taken a 4,000kg/18 metre H1840 LGMG telehandler with ‘TIACS’ QR codes to provide free mental health counselling for those working in construction.

The H1840 offers up to 13.1 metres of forward reach at which point it can handle 850kg, while it can take 2.5 tonnes to its maximum lift height of 17.6 metres, or take its maximum capacity of four tonnes to a height of 12 metres. Overall weight is 12.35 tonnes.

The TIACS QR codes provide information on accessing free mental health counselling services specifically for thse employed in the Australian construction industry when scanned by smartphone or tablet.

Ausdirect owner, Damien Connolly said: “We are rolling out the TIACS QR code and support number across our entire fleet this year, making it easier than ever for tradies and truckies on hundreds of job sites to access free, qualified counsellors via text or phone. No waiting lists, no barriers—just support when it’s needed the most.”

Founded in 2018, AusDirect is based in Brisbane, and runs a fleet of telehandlers, scissor lifts, forklifts, boom and trailer lifts, along with spider and mast booms.
