Oregon crane man to help Katrina clear up
A contractor from Ashland Oregon is taking his mobile crane to Louisiana to help with the Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts.
Phil Linsday, and five of his 13 children, (ten of whom are adopted) have decided that they cannot just watch the catastrophe unfold on television. Instead, the family is loading their company’s crane on to a truck and going to help.
Linsday owns a local contracting company, the Linsday Company. Matt, his oldest son is also a general contractor, he is bringing the “large crane” to help with the cleanup directly from a job in Nevada.
The rest of the family is driving down to Gulf Port in a motor home that they plan to donate to either Habitat for Humanity, or another aide group, when they return home. They expect to be there for around two months.
