Larger Spierings for Melis

Dutch crane rental company kraanverhuur Melis has taken delivery of a new six axle Spierings SK 1265-AT6 self-erecting mobile crane.

The Middelburg based company already operates three, four and five axle mobile tower cranes, and the new unit will top out the range with its 60 metre jib and 1,700kg jib tip capacity. Maximum capacity is 10 tonnes at 13.5 metres.

The new six axle SK1265-AT6 leaves the Spierings plant

Peter Melis said: "We had been looking for a while for a replacement for our 48 metre Spierings, we initially considered a 50 metre crane, but with this machine we have many more opportunities. Prior to this machine’s arrival there was no mobile crane with 60 metres reach in Zeeland."

Melis also operates a small fleet of All Terrain cranes, 360 degree telehandlers and transport with loader cranes and is located in the far South West of The Netherlands.
