Funny or what?

Spotted on the Golden Mile in Edinburgh, Scotland back in August, a man attempting to entertain the crowds by moving along a narrow ledge some seven or eight metres up, with no thoughts about the dangers he was taking and what a mess it would be if it all went wrong.

The man entertains those below as he walks the narrow ledge

In the words of our correspondent:

“This was apparently a street comedy performance on the Royal Mile on Sunday afternoon. The man scaled a drain pipe and proceeded to edge across several windows, trying to get the attention of people inside. All the while giving a commentary on his wireless microphone. As you can see, it took place on a crowded street with no obvious health and safety planning. And, right above the Fringe office!”

“I was in a minority who did not find all this completely hilarious. It was total madness!”

Our man is around seven or eight metres up

Stunts like this are usually well planned, with rehearsals and back up plans put in place should it all go wrong, that certainly does not seem to be the case here, at least in terms of what happenes should he slip.

Definitely one for our Death Wish series
