300 JCB for Boels

Dutch-based international rental company Boels has ordered 300 JCB machines worth more than €13 million (£11 million).

The order consists of a large number of telehandlers and rough terrain forklift trucks along with micro and mini excavators, all fitted with JCB’s LiveLink telematics system which remotely monitors service requirements and protects them against theft. The telehandler and forklift units have also been equipped with JCB’s Ecomax engines, which the company claims offers fuel savings of up to seven percent. The latest delivery – set to be completed by the end of March – takes Boels’ JCB fleet to more than 1,000 units.

Pierre Boels, chief executive of Boels, said: “Performance and efficiency were key factors in our decision to purchase the JCB machines. In particular, the fuel savings offered by the Ecomax-powered products are particularly important, as being environmentally responsible is essential to our business.”
