New MD for Dinolift

Finnish aerial lift manufacturer Dinolift has appointed Petri Paavolainen as managing director, effective from March first. He has been a Dinolift director since 2012.

Prior to joining Dinolift, Petri spent 12 years with the overhead crane manufacturer Konecranes, most recently as director of business development European region.

Paavolainen is highly experienced in production management, new market expansion and acquisitions, as well as running operative business units and managing development projects in an international environment. He has also lived overseas and is fluent in several languages.

Karin Nars, who has served as the managing director of Dinolift since 2011, when she took over from her father, the late Lars-Petter (‘Lasse’) Godenhielm, will continue as sales director and executive chairman. The company celebrates its 40th anniversary this year and is introducing a new corporate identity to reflect that.

“Petri has the right experience to manage the company in the coming years. He will help strengthen our presence in core markets and expand our footprint in new markets. I look forward to the future of Dinolift with great optimism; with Petri on board we have a great team in place,” said Nars.

Paavolainen added: “I am looking forward to my new role in Dinolift. We’re in great shape and have the resources to meet today’s business challenges successfully. We have also achieved strong growth in the last years, and the future looks positive. Moreover, this year is an important milestone for us, as we’re celebrating 40 years of the DINO access platforms.”
