New directors for Lavendon
Lavendon has appointed two new non-executive directors John Coghlan and John Wyatt, while Jan Åstrand, the company’s senior independent director and chairman of the remuneration committee since December 2010 has resigned.
Coghlan, 55, an Irishman is currently chairman of the Freight Transport Association in Ireland and Chairman of Inchcape Shipping Services. He was previously a non-executive director of both Ashley House and DX Services, and up to 2006 was deputy chief executive and group finance director of Exel. He has also been a non-executive director of Hibu (previously Yell) since June 2002, and is currently chairman of its audit committee that went into administration in November last year.

John Coghlan
Wyatt, 55, is currently president Stanley Black & Decker – Construction/DIY Europe, Middle East and Africa, having joined the business when the two companies merged in 2010. He started his career as a product manager with Cadbury Schweppes and subsequently held senior sales & marketing and general management positions with PepsiCo and Scotts Miracle Gro Co in both the UK and internationally, in Canada, the USA and Scandinavia.

John Wyatt
Andrew Wood, a non-executive director and chairman of theAudit Committee, will become the senior independent director of the Company with immediate effect.
