40 Cattaneos for BKL
Italian tower crane manufacturer Cattaneo has received an order for 40 self erecting tower cranes from its German and Austrian distributor BKL.
The order consists of four 1.8 tonne CM 221s, three 2.2 tonne CM 280s, 10 units of the 2.2 tonne CM 74S4s, eight four tonne CM 371s and seven four tonne CM90S4 self erecting tower cranes. BKL will market the cranes as BKL System Cattaneo, with tower heights from 17.3 to 25 metres and jib lengths between 22 and 41 metres. The company has also ordered eight units of a new model that Cattaneo plans to launch later this year.
BKL has also appointed German tower crane rental company Kwitek Krane as a sales and service partner for the Cattaneo cranes. As part of the agreement Kwitek, which operates throughout Upper Palatinate, has purchased 12 cranes across the range, excluding the smallest CM 221 model.
