New commercial director for Nacanco
Italian rental company Nacanco has confirmed the appointment of Ramon Santamaria of Hune as its new commercial director
Santamaria, 45, has close connections with Nacanco which date back to a cooperation between Nacanco Spain, while he was at the Ibercarretillas division of OM Forktrucks in Spain, where he worked from 1995 to 2004.
In 2004 Santamaria joined Nacanco Spain as commercial director, the company was sold to Euroloc in 2007, and then merged with Umesa under the Hune brand name. In 2011 he was appointed Hune regional manager with responsibility for a large part of Spain and all of France and Portugal, this followed the takeover of Hune by its major lender Banesto in 2010.

Since January he has held the post of commercial director at Hune, which acquired a 30 percent stake in Nacanco Italy, when it purchased Nacanco Spain in 2007. Since April he has also been working with Nacanco Italy and has now been confirmed as its commercial director.
Santamaria said: “In this particular economic moment the customer is more oriented to the rental of machines, rather than purchase. However, the rental market is mainly composed of small jobsites which end in a few days and causes a considerable movement of machines, without a relevant economic value.”
“Adaptation to customer needs with machines always available and in perfect order, delivery response speed and collection on site, competence in solving unexpected problems ... these are all topics that, especially in times of troubles in the market, can direct the customer to choose Nacanco”.
Nacanco operates from 16 branches in eight regions of Italy with a fleet of more than 2.500 machines, 140 employees and rapidly rising revenues.
