Haulotte buys into Turkish distribution

Haulotte has acquired a 50 percent stake the Acarlar Makine sales, service and parts business after the Acar Group separated its rental and sales activities into two separate corporations.

The deal was concluded earlier this month between Acarlar Makine’s general manager Serkan Acar and Haulotte chief financial officer Sebastien Martineaf at Acarlar’s head office in Istanbul. Haulotte’s Middle East regional manager Arthur Danelian was also present.

Established in 2004 Acarlar Makine currently represents Haulotte, Ommelift, Hinowa, Ruthmann, Scanclimber, Geda, Teupen and Unic, with depots in Ankara, Bursa and Izmar and has plans to open further branches in Adana and Trakya in 2015.

The company’s rental division - now a total separate business - will trade as Acar Platform.
