New MD for Avant Tecno UK

Finnish aerial lift and compact equipment manufacturer Avant Tecno has appointed Raimo Ala-Korpi as managing director of its UK distribution business Avant Tecno (UK).

He replaces Jukka Vaattovaara who will remain involved with the UK market, but will now be spending much more of his time on Avant’s international activities.

Ala-Korpi joined Avant in May from Finland’s Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment in Tampere, a regional development and implementation arm of the Finnish government. He spent almost eight years there focusing on international trade development. He has also worked for valve manufacturer Vexve and Finpro, the Finnish export association, where he was based in Canada. He also has experience running his own business.
