Roto telehandler overturn
A 360 degree telehandler overturned in Kernen, near Stuttgart, Germany, yesterday after the ground gave way beneath one of its outriggers.
The machine, a large Merlo Roto owned by telehandler and access rental company Induma Rent, was working with a suspended load at the towns new community centre. It was operating with a winch and was set up on a partially finished block surface with no outrigger mats in use when the blocks gave way and one jack plunged into the gravel surface below. The boom came down onto the buildings glass roof damaging it.

The unit was working on the edge of a blocked area
Two mobile cranes were brought in with one lifting on the boom nose while the other supported the outriggers on the opposite side. A man basket was also used to help with the rigging. The unit was then lifted back onto its feet. We understand that no one was injured in the incident.
