New appointments at Compact Lifting

UK based Compact Lifting Solutions has appointed Ben Windass as managing director, heading both its UK and its Middle East operations. He has been with the company since 2009 in a variety of positions. Peter Hird remains as group chief executive.

The company also restructured its Middle East business last year with a new partner for the region with Jee Singh of Technik 1 Lifting in Dubai. Singh has 10 years of experience working with load systems, having previously worked with Robway Crane Safety System, the LSI distributor for the region. Before that he was with Hirschmann, the owner of the PAT Kruger brands. Since then Compact Lifting Equipment Middle East has seen its sales improve and expects to double that in 2015.

Jee Singh

James Desira has joined the company’s Hookcam team as UK sales manager. He was previously with Nationwide Powered Access as an area sales manager in Norwich. Before that he was with Dawson trailer rental and has an automotive background. Hookcam Europe/Compact Lifting has the European master distribution rights for the Hookcam hook mounted camera systems, and is now looking for partners in other EU markets.
