Genie confirms UK dealer network

Genie has confirmed its UK sales and support network for its aerial work platforms and telehandlers.

Access Platform Sales (APS) and Workplatform will offer the full range of Genie self propelled aerial work platforms, scissor lifts, portable personnel and material lifts as well as the company’s trailer mounted Z-booms. At the same time TDL Equipment will be responsible for the distribution of the full range of Genie telehandlers throughout the UK. Each company will be responsible for the full sales and support provision for its given product line and region, including technical support and spare parts.

The dealers are intended to support and complement the existing Genie UK team and do not affect existing sales and product support arrangements.

Genie dealer manager Joanna Tomkins said: “The demand in the marketplace is significantly picking up, and this appointment makes sure that we can serve our customers, giving each the same level of service. Genie is a strong business. We feel that there is enough growth for us to appoint two dedicated distributors for our self-propelled and aluminium product range and we know we have the right partners for the job.”

Jonathan Hull of Workplatform added: “With the majority the Workplatform team having worked directly for Genie UK in the past, we are all thrilled and proud to be adding the rest of Genie’s product range to our existing Genie dealership”.
