Teupen adds to French distribution

Teupen has appointed Groupe Tilly to distribute its Leo spider lifts across eastern France, including Alsace, Lorraine, Bourgogne and Franche Comté as well as Luxembourg. The two companies will launch their new partnership at Intermat in April.

Group Tilly was founded by Joseph Tilly in Metz in 1946, and has sold and serviced excavation equipment since the 1950s. A Manitou dealer since 1962, it represents the company’s telehandlers, Rough Terrain fork trucks and aerial lifts as well as many other products, including Toyota fork trucks and Liebherr excavators.

Now based in Woippy, on the north side of Metz, it is managed by the third generation of the Tilly family and operates from four locations in the region, covering 10 departments.

Teupen’s sales manager for France Marc Valtel said: “Teupen is happy for being able to make use of the market position of an experienced heavy equipment distributor like Groupe Tilly. This partnership will strengthen our position in the French market and give us an even better ability to service customers with their after-sales needs.”

Chief executive Pierre Tilly, added: “With the brands we represent we make sure to only offer the highest possible level of quality and the most innovative technology. After my first visit with Teupen in 2014 I was impressed with the versatility of Teupen's Leo Series but also with the high standards the company has for quality and safety. I am convinced that both organisations will create a successful partnership.”
