TNT acquires RMS Cranes

Texas based TNT Crane & Rigging has acquired Denver, Colorado based Rocky Mountain Structures/RMS Cranes. The terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Founded in 1977, RMS is one of the largest crane and rigging companies in the Rocky Mountain region, serving Colorado and the surrounding states. It runs 66 cranes from three branches in Colorado - Denver, Colorado Springs and Pueblo. The addition of RMS takes the TNT crane fleet to 620 cranes, operating from 38 locations, with over 1,500 employees.

A statement from TNT said: “RMS has longstanding ties to the area and a well-diversified customer base which make the business a natural strategic fit for TNT. The acquisition expands our contiguous geographic coverage, end-market exposure and fleet composition with the addition of three Colorado branches and 66 cranes. RMS serves the manufacturing, industrial, cell tower, power, commercial and construction markets as well as other end markets throughout the Rocky Mountain Region. With access to TNT’s significant resources and management experience, RMS will continue providing excellent service with the enhanced capability to take on new, larger and more complex projects”.
