Oil & Steel restructures in Germany

Truck and spider lift manufacturer Oil & Steel has restructured its sales and service coverage in Germany, following the imminent departure of its German sales manager Michael Schapperth at the end of the month after four years in the job.

The manufacturer is extending the territory of its dealer Bauscher sales and rentals to cover postal regions, 0, 1,5,6,7 and 9 – giving it most of Eastern and Southern Germany, including the major markets of Berlin, Frankfurt, Leipzig, Dresden, Cologne, Stuttgart, and Northern Bavaria. The rest of the country will continue to be served by Giovanni Tacconi and Tiziana Verasani of Oil & Steel, Italy.

In order to cope with the larger territory and the manufacturer’s resurgence as part of Manitex, it plans to expand its operations and has given Klaus Niemes overall responsibility for the Oil & Steel account.
