New sales director for Wacker Neuson
Telehandler and compact equipment manufacturer Wacker Neuson has appointed Jan Willem Jongert, 51, as chief sales officer.
In his new role he will have responsibility for the group’s global sales, service, logistics and marketing activities. These duties have been handled since 2013 by chief executive Cem Peksaglam.
Having achieved another record year, it was decided to update the group strategy and strengthen the executive board wiht this new appointment. Peksaglam retains responsibility for strategy, mergers and acquisitions, human resources, legal, compliance, real estate, investor relations, corporate communication and sustainability.
Jongert joins the company from Schwarzmüller commercial vehicles, where was chief executive since 2013. Prior to that he spent at least nine years with Jungheinrich initially as regional director North and East Europe and then as vice president Asia Pacific.

The new appointment takes the executive board to four – Peksaglam, Martin Lehner - responsible for research and development, procurement, production and quality and Günther Binder - finance and IT.
“We have made good progress with our international growth strategy in recent years and we are now looking to build on our performance here. Mr Jongert is an experienced international sales expert and we are delighted to welcome him to the executive board,” said Peksaglam.
