Deutz makes changes at the top

Dr Michael Endres, chairman of the supervisory board at Deutz AG, the diesel engine producer, will resign from the board at the end of the company’s Annual General Meeting on 22 June 2006.

Endres has been chairman since 1995, steering the company the serious crisis it faced in 1996. At the same time Mr Peter Zühlsdorff, a member of the Supervisory Board for more than 10 years. will also step down.

The Supervisory Board will propose Dr Michael Lichtenauer an attorney, and Gino Mario Biondi, the managing director of Same Deutz-Fahr Deutschland GmbH, as their successors.

Deutz was once a leading supplier of air cooled diesel engines to the aerial lift industry, it is now making a comeback within the lift business. It also distributes a Same Deutz-Fahr version of JLG’s European telehandlers through its agricultural equipment dealers.
