A Plant's new Pop-Up Tower

The Pop-Up Platform, a push-around powered lift, won the Best Product 2006 at the recent Hire Association Europe's Hire Awards of Excellence in Amsterdam. At the same event, A-Plant won the Excellence in Training Award and George Burnett, group chief executive of the Ashtead group. won the Hire Person of the Year 2006

A-Plant is anticipating that the Pop-Up will replace steps and ladders used indoors in low level access applications. Designed with a safe working load of 240kg, the unit has a maximum platform height of 1.63 metres, providing a working height of 3.63 metres.

Its compact size and weight enables the unit to fit into a small vehicle.

A-Plant says that it was heavily involved in the evaluation process and was invited to contribute to market research on the tool hire market in development of the product. The company was shown an initial prototype in November last year and gave its feedback prior to the official launch in January.
