New CFO for Alimak
Swedish hoist and mastclimber company Alimak has appointed Per Ekstedt as chief financial officer, he will take up his new position at the start of next year. He succeeds Stefan Rinaldo who will become the company’s chief operating officer.
Ekstedt, 52, joins the company from Swedish technology company Mycronic where he has spent almost four years as chief financial officer. In the year prior to that, he held a similar position with Palette software and then did some short term consulting work for Viewbase. Between 2006 and 2011 he was head of finance and administration with European food vendor Selecta, having joined the company after a three and a half year stint with security company G4S as chief financial officer.

Per Ekstedt
From 1989 to 1999 he worked for Siemens, initially as business controller and finally as chief financial officer. During this time he took almost a year out to work as a liaison officer in Bosnia for the United Nations. In the three years before joining G4S he worked as chief financial officer for Cambridge Technology Partners, followed by Noblestar and then Aldata
Alimak chief executive Tormod Gunleiksrud said: “We are very pleased to welcome Per Ekstedt to the management team of Alimak. His broad experience as chief financial officer, working with global organisations will be of benefit to Alimak.”
