Harsco’s CEO to ring the Closing bell

Derek C. Hathaway, the chairman and CEO of Harsco, the group that owns SGB, Hünnebeck and Patent scaffold, and members of his senior management team, will ring The Closing Bell at the New York Stock Exchange, tomorrow, Thursday, June 1, 2006, in commemoration of Harsco’s 50th year of listing on the exchange.

Harsco’s sales were approximately $76 million when it was first listed in 1956. This year the Company is projecting sales of over $3 billion. The company can trace its roots back to 1742, when it produced the cannon balls for George Washington’s Continental army.

The closing bell ceremony is shown on a number of business television channels such as CNBC Europe.
