New sales director for Manitou Germany

Manitou has appointed Helgo Koch as sales director for its German distribution business - Manitou Deutschland. In his new role he will be responsible for Manitou, Gehl and Mustang product sales in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and will report directly to chief executive Peter Wildemann.

Koch joins the company from Bomag, where he has been sales and key account manager since 2014, prior to which he was marketing manager for milling products for two years.

Helgo Koch

His career in the construction equipment market began in 1985 at Wirtgen as a field service technician. After take two years out to become a state certified engineer joining Kiefer in 1993 as a field service technician. A year later he moved to JCB Germany as product manager for excavators, four years later he joined road equipment manufacturer Wirtgen as an area service manager. Just over 10 years later he was promoted to sales manager, leaving in 2012 for Bomag.
