New Shuttlelift carrydeck crane

Manitowoc is launching a new 13.6 tonne Shuttlelift carry deck crane - the SCD15 – at the Rental show today. The company says that the new crane has been designed from the ground up to meet the specific needs of the general rental market.

The SCD15 has a standard, three section 12.5 metre boom, with the option of a four-section, full-power 15.4 metre boom. A 4.6 metre swingaway extension is also available for a maximum tip height of 21 metres with offset of up to 30 degrees. The boom nose can pivot forward by up to 80 degrees for greater clearance height when lifting in low head room environments.

We’ve implemented a number of operator-focused features for this crane and the overall design helps to lower both acquisition and operating costs. The SCD15 is built for automotive and general manufacturing plants, refinery work, laydown yards, steel mills or any other application where mass production and continuous maintenance are key.”

The Shuttlelift carry deck cranes are made in the Grove facility in Shady Grove alongside the Grove versions. Although this new crane is not yet available as a Grove model.
