New director for Alimak

Swedish hoist and mastclimber manufacturer Alimak has announced a change of directors on its main board, with Jan Svensson replacing Carl Johan Falkenberg.

The change was triggered by major shareholder Triton selling its holding to Latour the investment company owned by Swedish billionaire Gustaf Douglas. Falkenberg was Triton’s representative on the Alimak board and so resigned with the sale of its shares.

Latour chief executive Svensson takes his place, with the appointment to be confirmed at the next annual general meeting. Latour is Alimak’s largest shareholder holding 26.8 percent of the equity.
