AA/High Access acquires Outreach Access
UK truck mounted rental company AA Access, now part of the High Access Maintenance Group – has acquired Outreach Access in order to expand its operations into Scotland.
Outreach Access is a division of Palfinger and offshore equipment specialist Outreach Ltd and offers a range of truck and van mounted aerial lifts, along with a few spider, trailer and other platforms, from its main location in Falkirk and a branch in Birtley, near Durham in north east England.
The deal adds significantly bolsters the AA/High Access fleet, as well as 13 new employees, including an operations manager, sales manager and in house service engineer, who are transferring from Outreach to AA Access.
High Access was established in 2005 by Niel Bethell, the chief executive, and offers a maintenance and cleaning service to the commercial, industrial and high level residential property sectors. It is supported by BGF which invested £3.3 million in the business in July 2016, with a further investment for the purchase of AA Access and this latest acquisition. It is also considering other potential deals for further expansion.
